It's mating season and Tom is hanging out waiting for a gal or is hoping to catch a meal at the Prairie Dog Buffet.
This image was taken in the dense morning fog. This guy got really close. I suppose he thought that if he couldn't see us, we couldn't see him.
Given the fog, I over-exposed the image significantly. I wasn't sure how it would turn out, but was later able to adjust the levels in Photoshop to bring out the details.
This is an adult male. He is a few yards from the family, watching out.

I made this a monochrome photograph in order to accentuate the textures within the image.
This Bobcat was almost fully grown and ready to fend for itself.
Over the Hump
One of the wild horses found at the south unit of Theodore Roosevelt National Park. By the looks of him, I think this one could have been ridden by Teddy himself.
Sometimes its tough to get a clear shot of one of these guys.
