Old Barn w/Snow Geese
Sure had a great stay while in the area this week. BARELY made it home as I ran into whiteout conditions this morning heading back to Littleton. Glad to see the site is still alive and well.
Partly Sunny with a chance of Snow Geese
After over 1000 miles on the road (from Denver area) I finally came across why I am out here - SNOW GEESE MIGRATION!!!!
Classic old barn near Mina, SD
Great Horned Owl
Taken at wildlife refuge near Cayuga ND
Goodbye My Friends
Had to squeeze one last sunrise out of this great area of our country before heading south. It was such a pleasure to contribute and converse with all of you. Hope our paths cross in the future and if you want to see what I will be capturing in Colorado, feel free to visit my website at www.onthemarkphotos.com
Look Both Ways
In this case - REALLY look both ways.
Except for the driving part, I like fog.
My last shot of my favorite treeline with sunrises spot. I will really miss this because there is no one around for miles and there is some serenity in seeing this all by myself.
Fairmount Flour Mill
This mill is the reason we moved here some 16 years ago. Through 4 different owners and many years of happiness, we will be moving in a couple weeks for their corporate location in Denver. I was picking my wife up from work here and the sky was bidding me one last good-bye shot of this place.
Fairmount, ND Sunrise
I love how the colors of the sky change so quickly on sunrises.
Simply put, I love taking pictures of the beauty around me. I received as a Christmas present from my wife, a Canon T1i a couple years ago after relying solely on an old Canon AE-1 (yes, the one where you put film in) and when I received this digital camera, I just went crazy. I travel with it almost everywhere I go and just love capturing the blessings I have had over the last few years. Still learning the craft but am fascinated by this community of fellow photographers. Thanks to everyone who comments on my work and feel free to give me pointers as I need them!! :-)
My works outside of ND/SD can be seen at this site:
